About Me

I’ve been involved with marketing in one way or another for the last 15 years. Even before that, I was surrounded by entrepreneurialism from a young age. My family comes from rural Saskatchewan, and the farming attitude of “if you want it done right, do it yourself” was instilled in me a long time ago! I got involved in a few different ventures early on in my undergraduate studies, and quickly learned (through the school of hard knocks) the importance of marketing and sales.

After spending some time as an employee in a few industries, I decided to take the plunge and go freelance. I just felt I could do a better job on my own, you know? I hustled, I taught myself everything I needed to know about digital marketing, and I started growing my network.

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working on more than 100 accounts across various digital marketing disciplines and industries. My efforts have consistently reduced marketing costs, boosted conversion rates, and helped startups achieve impressive 7-figure valuations. Though the faces and names always change, the process doesn’t. My decision-making process relies on a sound foundation of 1st party and 3rd party data, and that helps inform every single step I take with my clients.

​Outside of work, I love to travel and learn more about new cultures, their histories and different ways of living. It was a huge reason I got into marketing, if I’m honest. I was an OG digital nomad! I also love music and am a self-taught guitarist of 20 years. Let me know if you ever want to jam the blues! And if I’m not traveling or jamming, I’m playing vids, cooking or hanging out with my family. Maybe all 3 at the same time!

My Skillset

My approach to marketing and sales is rooted in data analysis. Whether it's improving an ad campaign, redesigning a website, or developing a new go-to-market, my process begins by analyzing whatever data we have available. 

I don't try to be the smartest guy in the room, but using numbers to help ideate strategy and execution has helped me deliver substantial and powerful results across many disciplines of sales and marketing.

I have significant experience in technical skills like: paid media management, PPC, sales automation and CRM management, web design. I am also an accomplished copywriter in addition to the above hard skills.

Beyond my individual capabilities, I have been involved with the training, management, motivation and deployment of marketing teams across numerous businesses and industries.

I've been given the opportunity to work with clients in dozens of different verticals, and with clients of many different sizes and maturity. I've worked with one-person start-ups, publicly traded corporations, and just about everything in between.

I've worked with many different technology providers, e-commerce operations, and even a number of traditional brick and mortar businesses.

Regardless of the industry, my true passion is working with small dedicated teams, driven to find success with their entrepreneurial dreams.
