Did you know it's possible to use public training grants to cover 66-100% of costs associated with working with me?

Seriously, it's true.

Even better, I have a stellar record in funding applications approval. I'm very confident your next project with me will be approved for substantial public funding. More than that, I'm here to help you have the best chance at application approval.

I've whipped up a comprehensive guide below to help you understand all you need to know about applying for the various grants I've been approved for in the past - the CSJG, CAJG, RSTS & CDAP grants.

If you need any assistance after reading this guide, reach out to me and I'll be happy to help!

Funding

Canada-Saskatchewan Job Grant (CSJG)

  • up to $10,000/yr in funding per employee and $100,000/yr in company support

  • for businesses with 50+ employees - 66% of applicable workshop costs subsidized

  • for businesses with 1-49 employees - effectively 83% of applicable workshop costs subsidized.

  • workshop costs are paid upfront by the client, and funds are remitted from the CSJG back to the client grant shortly after completion of the workshop.

  • the application itself is free, and no costs will be incurred prior to receiving approval for the grant.

  • minimum review period of 3 weeks required before scheduled start of workshop. Failure to provide this window will affect application approval chances. In my experience, allowing 3-4 weeks for approval is a safe window.

  • has been accepting applications since 2016 and is available throughout the calendar year.

  • the recipient of the workshop training MUST be an employee of the business and on payroll to be eligible to receive funding. Owners are ineligible for CSJG support.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted to the CSJG by the client. While I am always happy to help you during the application process, DHMG does not submit grant applications on the client's behalf.

Once your application package is ready for submission, you will need to email all required documents to the CSJG office. Those documents are as follows:

  • your workshop proposal as provided by DHMG

  • the official CSJG training provider quote as provided by DHMG

  • the Employer Application Form as provided by the client)

ReSkill Saskatchewan Training Subsidy (RSTS)

  • up to $5,000 in funding per company, with 100% of applicable workshop costs up to $5,000 subsidized. It does not reset per fiscal year, like the CSJG does.

  • workshop costs are paid upfront by the client, and funds are remitted from the RSTS back to the client grant shortly after completion of the workshop
the application itself is free, and no costs will be incurred prior to receiving approval for the grant

  • minimum review period of 3 weeks required before scheduled start of workshop. failure to provide this window will affect application approval chances.

    • in my experience, allowing 4 weeks for approval is a safe window

  • the RSTS is a Covid-19 recovery grant specifically aimed at helping businesses jumpstart operations in the post-Covid-19 economy.

  • the recipient of the workshop training MUST either be an employee of OR owner of the business to be eligible for RSTS support.
this is different from the CSJG grant, where only employees are eligible to receive funding

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted to the RSTS by the client. While I am always happy to help you during the application process, DHMG does not submit grant applications on the client's behalf.

Thankfully, the RSTS has a user-friendly web-portal through which applications can be submitted. You will need to include a few required documents with your application, along with our formal workshop proposal. The first two documents can be downloaded below:

How to Apply

In order to apply, you must visit the Digital Main Street and select the appropriate provincial program. Once there, you will need to complete a relatively brief onboarding via and online intake funnel. Then, you'll be able to meet with a digital advisor who will help confirm your eligibility and provide some advice on potential grant expenditures. Once that meeting is complete, you will need to complete a spending plan that outlines the entirety of your expected expenses, and how those expenses will contribute to your digital adoption.

The turnaround time on spending plan approval is very quick and is usually completed in a matter of days, rather than weeks. And then you're green lit to start spending!

I'm here to help you take your marketing to the next level! Let's connect over a quick call together, and I'll answer any questions you might have.

You can get access to my calendar through this link, and you're welcome to book a short call with me at your convenience.

If you're ready to move forward with an application, please submit your information through the form available here.
